Julien Meissonnier
Julien Meissonnier was born in Reims, Champagne, France. Trained as a Physics and Materials Engineer in Lyon, France, completed by an MSc in Seattle, Washington, USA. Julien took on bicycle touring in his teens and early twenties and alternated between long distance touring and cyclo-camping trips extensively across Europe and the USA. Later moving to marathon running and competitive triathlon in France and the US and also enjoyed back packing in Central and South-America including a life changing trip to Argentina and Iguacu Falls. After 5 years in Engineering and technical service roles in the field of advanced composite materials in France and the USA, Julien returned to business school at INSEAD in France. Liliana moved to France and they got married. After 4 years working for a Swiss multinational, Julien moved to Israel with Liliana and started working for and advising various start-ups in Israel, a drug delivery company, biofuel and solar energy ventures, agro-technology companies, including one now quoted on Nasdaq by establishing ROI Consulting later re-incorporated as ROI Group Ltd. Julien then co-founded and led a blood diagnostics company which developed an innovative platform focused on fast detection of infectious diseases. The company continues without Julien who now joined Liliana to continue developing ROI Group. Julien’s areas of interest are outdoors sports equipment including bicycles, sustainability and alternative energy with a focus on solar. Julien speaks French, English, Spanish, and Hebrew and forgot most of his once fluent German…
